NVQ Level 4
Huge congratulations to Lynda Wiseman, Practice Management Assistant, for her outstanding achievement in achieving a CMI Level 4 Management Diploma with SVT. This was as a result of many hours of study in the field of management; particularly with regards to Operational Analysis, Planning, Training and Education, Human Resources, Financial Planning – and much more. Lynda has been with the Practice for just over 13 years and has worked in many roles during this time. Lynda is an essential member of the Management Team and the Practice as a whole. We look forward to seeing how Lynda can apply these skills to the benefit of our Practice. Well done Lynda!
The Deveron Half Marathon
Huge congratulations and well done to the organisers, sponsors, volunteers, and all of today’s runners in the Deveron Half Marathon. We were proud to be following two of our team today; Dr Howard Wright, Principle GP and Medical Director of Chalmers Hospital, and Jacoline (Jake) Dey, one of our Pharmacy Technicians, who achieved very credible times. Dr Wright achieving 1:48 and Jake with 1:44.
STAR
Our very own Kirsty Alexander was the proud recipient of the NHSG STAR award for going above and beyond in her approach to supporting the Practice Pharmacy Team. Here she is pictured with Dr Wright on receiving the award.
As a Pharmacy Assistant, Kirsty’s role is quite specialised and carries a broad spectrum of responsibilities. Operating in direct support of the Practice’s Pharmacist, Claire Wright, and the Pharmacy Technicians, Lee-Anne McKen and Jacoline Dey, Kirsty processes a huge amount of patient requests for medication. As a small example of what she does, we started an online form to cover the gap between those patients who do not use our Vision Online Services and those of whom prefer to use the prescription line. The form was open from 17 Apr 23 and we have processsed almost 1000 requests on this medium alone; and that is on top of the other methods of requesting medication. Kirsty has been with the Practice for just over 10 years now and is one of our most valuable employees.
